Welcome to the sites of the bureau Zimmermann.

The emphasis of our works lies in garden and landscape design. We build all kinds of public and private outdoor spaces. Apart from the tasks of a garden and landscape architect we also offer landscape planning achievements and environmental impact studies to our customers.

Bureau for landscape architecture:

Managing director: Florian Zimmermann, born in 1961. My practical entrance into the profession started with an apprenticeship in landscape gardening. I could complete these practical experiences in research and teaching by a five year activity as a scientific assistent at TU Berlin, at the Institute for landscape architecture. Since 1996 I am working in Berlin as a free landscape architect. In my office all planning services are implemented after HOAI. Apart from the successful participation in competitions concerning town- and landscapeplanning, I am also active in juries. A further main point of my work exists in projects of the care of historic gardens, in particular gardens of the 20th Century.
In my designing work a continuous request exists in the "dis-covering" of potentials of the location and by the suggested solutions. An important principle in my work forms the stability and durability of the used materials, as well as the search for the best solution under the aspect of optimized building and maintenance costs. The positive balance of my competition contributions confirms this designing attitude.
